microLS® opens new dimensions in production of prototypes details:

· Wear resistant metallic and ceramic materials are available for prototyping

· Prototype structures <100 µm can be produced by microLS®

· 20 µm structures have been produced in iron-copper nanophase materials

· Single particles have sizes of 4 to 10 µm.

· The nanophased single particles are produced by a specially developed method. The iron and copper structures inside of the particles have sizes in the nanometer dimension.

· The nanophase materials have an extreme amount of inner energy. This energy is advantageous due to gained extreme material wear resistance.

· In contrast to hardened material the nanophased material is still ductile and has a high crack tolerance.
