The production method of microLS®:

microLS® makes use of micro laser sintering. This production method uses a laser beam as an energy source. In contrast to other methods an ideal M2 beam quality of 1, 05 is used. The continuous emitting laser is focused from 7 to 17 µm.
Powder filler material and laser energy are guided simultaneously. The laser beam energy melts the filler material at the work piece surface. By movement of laser beam and powder jet the prototype is produced line by line. Figure 1 shows the technique as a scheme:

The technology is used for Rapid Prototyping, Rapid Manufacturing and repair applications. All machine components are particularly developed, internationally patented and available.
